Fun!

Had a nice session today.  Was able to squeeze Cal in and out of the arena.  Played in the arena with a confident, happy horse!  Yes!  Played with more driving from zone 4/5.  Circling I played with some transitions, which weren't the best; need some work.  And did some canter laps, bringing Cal back by running backwards, because after I change directions a couple times he stops wanting to come when I run backwards, and that really helps fix that up.  Some more lead by chin, which is coming along.  Some trotting sideways.  Trotting weaves, trying to stay away at the end of my 22' line.  (Have some problems with the driving away around the barrel part.)  Got a little frustrated with the trailer, so I made myself stop playing with it.  That trailer is not yet mine or Cal's friend.  =P

I also had a nice ride in the natural performer.  Just played follow the rail.  Didn't take that many laps before Cal had some nice rhythm and relaxation.  I could fold my arms and trot around the arena just using my focus and my leg to keep him on the rail.  And just stop with my body when I wanted to halt.  Gotta love that.  After that played a bit with yielding hindquarters and forehand and going sideways.  All great fun.  ^_^
